"We were pleased with our stay. It met our needs. The only issue we had was the hot water in the bathtub/shower. It didn’t get hot, just tepid. The host had it checked out and said it was working. But we never got a hot shower. Parking was also an issue, but that’s the norm in Chicago. "

"Great location, lots of space for gathering and hanging out. Tons of sleeping areas, air mattresses couches, futons, etc. Great for large groups of adults. Caution: Lots of stairs."

"Stayed over a weekend with my sister and parents to come and relax. Also brought our senior dog along. The house is very nice and cozy. The fireplaces are lovely. Overall the home was very clean, well kept and to me it looked even better in person than it did in the pictures online. My parents loved it and they are planning on coming back hopefully over the summer. We loved that is so close to trails, we were able to walk to St. Louis canyon from the home. "If you’re looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay, look no further! This cute home located right next to Shawnee National Forest was the perfect weekend getaway for us and our dogs. The house is back in the woods with over 8 acres to explore. And the stars at night were incredible! Everything was very clean and our host provided bottled water and had all the makings for coffee. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit!"

"Beautiful home and property looking out to wonderful lake view. Host is great, everything was cozy and welcoming. Fenced yard down to dock is terrific if you are traveling with pets. Very clean house, stocked with everything needed. Thank you!"

"Spacious property. Plenty of room and great neighborhood. Wish the larger TV was upstairs. "

"We were happy to see the pictures matched the home well. We started our days at the gym and game room at the Owners Club. My daughter and I swam laps one morning too. It was warm enough to sit on the deck in the afternoons and play games after shopping on Main St. This home was stocked well with paper products so we didn't have to run to grab anything. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in the primary bathroom too. "
