"Hotel is somewhat difficult to navigate if you arrive with a car. You have to navigate your way through streets One way streets. There’s no easy way to pull up in front of the hotel and unload also if you have any mobility issues the front door of the building requires the guest to climb steps manually open doors three in fact. Saint Alban‘s is a very old city and many of the building exteriors are protected. So I don’t necessarily blame the hotel for the entrance difficulties. Once you checked...

"We had stayed there before, when we arrived the heating in our room didn’t work but the lovely receptionist sorted us out with a fan heater for the second night. Bit disappointed that our room wasn’t cleaned at all for our 2nd night ( just emptying the bins would have been nice!) Another area for improvement would be to fix the massive potholes at the entrance of the car park… but the location is great and the staff are really lovely!"

When mentioned to reception they didn't seem to take it too seriously . "This place is not ready for the public yet, the room is very dated, the windows are very old and damaged, the carpet was disgusting, the bed sheets were not changed from the previous visit. The shower was not comfortable either. The gym was good, and the staff seemed friendly, but the hotel needs a major uplift to justify the room rates they are charging"
