"This was one of the best stays I've had recently. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make our experience great. We ordered room service and it arrived with a smile and a special treat. The traditional rooms were very clean and were lovely. The hot springs Onsen were great. We had 2 reserved times for our room and enjoyed a private indoor/outdoor experience. "

"This hotel was my favorite out of the 4 we stayed in during our Japan trip. The beds were comfortable, bathroom had all we needed and the balcony gave us the most amazing view in the morning, definitely get a room facing the water and mountain. We could see the Pirate ship as well from our room. I loved that the booking came with buffet meals- fantastic options. I loved our stay in Hakone and this hotel. They even had a feared outdoor foot bath to rest your feet after walking. You could use there onsen or book a private one. So many extras on the property. Just an overall amazing stay during our trip."

"Truly a Japanese resort hotel with a proper outdoor onsen and all the trimmings that go with it. Be aware that they need to see the passport of everyone staying there. Why that is the case I don’t know. It’s an old hotel but it s clearly evident that every equipment and furniture have been updated to keep with the times. Try to visit the hotel before weather gets too cold to really take in the view of the. Grand colors of the forest. Space was good. Mattress was hard but soft enough to be comfortable. Dining options were good (actually better than the restaurants around the area) and the proximity to the train and bus station is great. "
