We felt the resort could have put more effort in maintaining that the doors to the room closed without gaps that allow bugs to get in so easily. "Great hotel for a great price. One of the few hotels I’ve stayed in where the pictures do not do it justice, the view from our mountain suite was amazing. The room was clean, spacious, and secure. The room doesn’t have A/C which threw us off at first but this is typical for the area as the cool mountain wind was more than enough for a comfortable stay with the windows cracked. "Warm welcome by the owners Lelo, Juana, Beatriz and Natalia who were very nice, kind, helpful and professional. Our cabin was clean, lovely, spacious with a balcony overlooking the mountains. The lush gardens were fantastic. They offer laundry service at $5/kg, assigned free parking, pool with mineral spring water, strong WiFi, delicious breakfast from 7-9am and dinner at 6pm. The dirt road from the highway to the lodge was rather lengthy. Great job and thanks. Highly recommended!"

It was a bit difficult to find staff at times and we never found the pool- but we were gone during the day and the darkness sets in around 6 pm. "Basic but clean accommodation. The lodges have their own nature trail which is fun (takes 30mins to walk round). There is a nice cafe and small supermarket at the end of the hotel drive but you really need your own transport to get into Santa Elena."
