"Although we only stayed one night we had a great stay! We arrived early but were able to spend the day at the pool before our room was ready. We were in the premium zone and the restaurant exclusive to us was excellent! View of the beach, good food and superb service. Our room was clean and spacious and very quiet. Was a terrific place to stay before we took the ferry the next day."

"The hotel is so beautiful; however, the area is very loud located next to the hospital and major hwy. The breakfast buffet is great, but the items off the menu (room service meals) we ordered were terrible, especially for the price. For these 2 reasons, we would likely choose a different location next year. "

"The property is nice, but it is in the middle of a not-so-nice part of town, so it did not feel safe to venture on foot off the grounds. In addition, unless you love the pool or practicing your golf shot (driving range), there is not much to do on the property. Staff was very attentive and helpful and the restaurants were good."

"The staff were friendly and helpful. The parking (on-site) is monitored as are the grounds which provided a good sense of security. The property was immaculately maintained in terms of landscaping and cleanliness. The included breakfast buffet was plentiful and clean. "It was such an attractive, creatively put together and decorated place. The bed was especially comfy, and the ceiling fan was strong and made good white noise (needed in this busy city). I had the idea that it was closer to the airport than it was, but it was worth the bit of extra time it took to get there. Good value!"

"The pool area was a pleasant surprise - much nicer than the neighbouring Hampton Inn. We were especially delighted with the evening dinner shuttle service - a free shuttle into the dining areas of the city to enjoy much more variety that offered within walking distance - smart idea!"

"Overall Villa Lapas Jungle Resort was a good place to stay. We had 2 rooms with breakfast, but did not pay for the all inclusive stay because we are vegetarian and don’t drink alcohol. Positives: 1. Front reception staff, restaurant, and housekeeping are all very nice. 2. The setting is beautiful and well designed facilities. 3. The playground was great for our grandson. This was a huge plus. 4. "Most nicest and luxurious hotel in La Fortuna. The best location. Nice view of the Volcano.Staff was great, attentive and friendly. Hotel common areas and rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was nicely equipped to make your stay comfortable. Will definitely stay again when coming back to visit. Highly recommend."

"Beautiful property, very helpful staff, the food was delicious and everything was very clean. We had a room with a private pool (not heated) which was great to have such a large private patio space when we wanted downtime. Our 2 kids loved the warm pools and the housekeepers leaving them little treats in the afternoon. The hotel doesn’t cater to families or young kids but it was still an excellent place if you do have kids. It was a short walk to everything we needed while we were on the resort but we had a car rental as we were exploring the area daily that we parked right outside our Chato. There isn’t a gym available, but the resort is lovely for a run. It was so easy to communicate with the staff in WhatsApp I ask questions and order room service. We ordered room service a couple nights, which was delicious. Our favourite was the poke bowl. The breakfast buffet was perfect every morning before we started our day. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!"

Fairfield by Marriott San Jose Airport Alajuela

"This is the fourth time staying at the Fairfield and it never disappoints. Customer service is top rated - Joshua went out of his way to accommodate my early arrival. The building is new, shuttle is always on time (every 30mins) and the breakfast provides a lot of options. I use to stay at the Hampton Inn - its now getting dated/expensive and breakfast is not as good as before. I am glad I found a new place to stay which is also within walking to shopping. "
