"We really loved our stay at the lost iguana hotel. It’s a little bit further from the town about 35 minutes so keep that in mind if you want to be closer to downtown. It was a smaller resort overall but the grounds were stunning! "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Arenal Manoa. The view of the volcano was incredible (even though it rained most days). The staff was super friendly, helpful, and professional. The hot springs? Phenomenal. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and exactly what I needed to start my day. As a solo traveler, I never felt unsafe, and I didn’t have to worry about walking back to my room after a long day because on-site transportation was always available. My only gripe is that their airport transportation options were pricier than an Uber, which didn’t feel very reasonable. All in all, it was a great experience! "

"Los Lagos Hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfect for our family. They have pools everywhere, and we mostly hung out in the large hot spring pool with a swim-up bar and drank the virgin pina coladas that they serve in real pineapples! The staff is very friendly and helpful, including the restaurant staff, the cleaning crew, and the front desk. The breakfast is a buffet full of healthy, delicious variety. The gift shop is great. We were in downpour for 2 days, and ended up just hanging out in the warm pools. One night when my daughter and husband decided to stay in the room for the evening, I spent an hour in the original hot spring on a built-in lounge chair with jets. "

"Overall this place was picturesque... everyone was very helpful went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The only complaints I have, they were repairing the walkway lights, it was very dark at night, thank God I had a flashlight on my phone. But I did pass an elderly couple who are trying to find their room so I help them. Also their tools were left laying around. This is only temporary but it did kind of catch me off guard for such a great looking, well kept facility."

"This resort is very well kept and nestled in the forest. Our back patio in our private casita looked out at the forest and we saw monkeys in the trees in the morning. The massage area is so relaxing while in a private area overlooking the forest. The dining area has really good food. The staff is really nice. The pool area is very relaxing with a swim up bar. Very relaxing and beautiful all around. "
