"I loved this place in a quiet neighborhood in Palm Springs. The room was large and very comfortable with a patio. The shower was probably the best I've ever experienced in a hotel or inn. There is a large pool. Palm Springs is compact, so every place I wanted to go was only a short ride away. The only negative is that it does not serve breakfast, but there are several places serving quality beeakfasts nearby. I highly recommend staying here."

"Yeah, I would say nice try but that is not the case. The Avalon puts its name on classic mid sixties Palm Springs building, charges a high price and calls it a day. The bathroom is like something from a Motel 6: Old tub/shower, mean towels. My room rate was $299. plus all the other fees. I could not find the switch to turn off the patio/balcony light and the front desk explained they could send someone up to unscrew the lightbulb. The lighting in the room comprises solely of 2 hanging...

"I received my confirmation Tuesday before our check in Saturday... the place was being painted and closed BECAUSE the property had been sold! NO NOTIFICATION to us and it took a little over an hour to find another property comparable. VERY DISAPPOINTED in the lack of communication "
