Kyoto Travelers Inn
3.0 star property
7.8 out of 10, Good, (95)
"I don't think there is a better location in Kyoto to stay. You are away from the busier spots in Kyoto and the mountains are just a walk away. Getting up in the mornings and getting to explore right outside the hotel was very exciting. Great staff and quiet, clean rooms. Would highly recommend!"

"時間を気にせずチェックイン出来るし市街地から近いので良かったです!広くて、ちょっとしたゲームや充電器、オモチャのかつらなんかあったりして盛り上がりました。また京都に行くときはここを利用します。サービス重視の方は不向きだと思います。私にはかなり合っていました。また、いきます。ありがとうございました!"

The Westin Miyako Kyoto
5.0 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (1000)
"This is my fifth time staying at the Westin Miyako. The location is superb for seeing temples on the west side of Kyoto, and it’s always easy to get around, either via their free shuttle bus to Kyoto Station, or by nearby public transit with a few blocks’ walk. The staff offers world class hospitality. I could not have asked for a better stay. "

Hotel Heian No Mori Kyoto
Grand Fine Kyoto Okazaki
3.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (80)
"This was listed as adults only which I interpreted as no kids. I booked 7 nights and included the $2/day in-breakfast. It soon became clear this small and nice hotel was suitable for couples as well with not only daily rates but partial day rates; this apparently is fairly common in Japan with the "adults only" tag. The staff was not well versed in English, but all communications were successful. The staff was very kind and accommodating too. The room was very nice, comfortable, and well...

Grand Fine Kyoto Okazaki
Kyoto Higashiyama hale Temari
2.5 star property
6.4 out of 10, (17)
"In the night a bit noisy because of the driving road. Towel is not free. You can rent a bicycle but the hotel manager is somewhere (I haven't rented one, though). Transportation is not so much convenient because in order to reach some place (besides downtown) typically you may need to take a bus but a desired bus may come one or several stops away. If you buy a one-day free bus ticket from the Keage station it can be a bit more convenient. "
