"Beautiful cultural experience. Having your own onsen and choice of the public onsen was very nice. We did not think the seiki breakfasts and dinner were worth the astoundingly expensive price. I would next time not book the meals, exorbitant cost at nearly $300 each time"

"Staying here was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The view from our bedroom was absolutely stunning - I miss it already. The giant windows made for such a special place experience. "We are the repeaters. This the rare co-ed onsen which allows you to go in with your friends and family. The onsen was filled with milky warm water so that you can stay in long hours and enjoy other people's company. Very relaxing environment surrounded by mountains. The food was omakase and very good. "We spent two nights at this hotel in a Japanese style room. We found the room comfortable and spacious. I very much enjoyed the public bath in the hotel and visited AM and PM for a relaxing soak. The hotel is a quirky mix of modern and traditional and we appreciated this.We had a wonderful breakfast buffet each morning in the hotel restaurant and the staff was always gelpful and kind. We found everything very walkable to this hotel. The station, castle, art museum, shopping, restaurants and coffee/tea/sweets are not far. We would definitely stay here again and we really loved the vibe of Motsumoto!"
