This was my first time at the Great North Hotel and it was excellent. My room was gorgeous - I had a suite - it was really comfortable with quality fixtures and fittings and contained everything you could need. Excellent housekeeping - I stayed 3 nights. Excellent staff on reception and in the bar & restaurant. Will definitely return.

Great location for getting into Newcastle city centre, bus stops nearby and a metro stop about 10/15 minute walk away. Staff lovely, room big with a big comfortable bed, tea and coffee, safe. Bathroom sparkingly clean, great shower with lots of hot water. Very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend and will stay here again.

All the staff are so welcoming and kind. The restaurant is excellent with a fine selection of dishes, we had dinner on both nights and the food was delicious with generous portions. The selection from the buffet at breakfast was well presented and fresh. The Eggs Benedict is superb. Facilities are excellent,, they only reason I gave four stars is the shower gel dispensers are in need of a servicing or replacement as the plunger sticks down which is frustrating as it needs to be pulled back up to dispense more product. This is the second visit here and we definitely intend to stay at The Great North Hotel again next time in Newcastle... There is no better option. Highly recommend.

Good hotel plenty parking. Easy pleasant checking/out. Room good . Bus stop right outside for £2 fare into Newcastle (15 mins) would definitely stay again.
