"We stayed as a family with our young daughter. The hotel is right on the waterfront of Lake Taupo which is ideal for walking along the shore and the views are excellent. Rooms were modern and clean. The hotel has a nice restaurant, if a little old fashioned, with a great view of the lake and the sunset. My daughter loved running down to the water and looking at the ducks. The pool was heated like a hot tub, which was a surprise but very relaxing. My only concern was that we booked a junior suite...

"Wonderful accommodation. Jillian and Dutchy are friendly and welcoming hosts. Clean and close to some very good restaurants, which surprised us for such a small town. Would stay here again. "

"Very nice hotel with a good view of Tongariro National park. There’s no AC in the rooms so it can get pretty stuffy unless you open the windows. But it gets chilly in the night so kinda evens out. And if you step outside in the night you get a very good view of the stars."
