"The location and size of this place is outstanding. The unit was huge and the bathroom was the biggest we have seen in Portugal. Everything was walkable and the area was quite safe and easy to navigate. That said, communication with the host was lacking. Once we figured things out we were good to go though. Side note, you are right on top of the tram, so you can hear it running all day / evening. It really didn’t bother us and we actually thought it was funny. I’m not sure we would stay here...

"Constant dripping coming from toilet cistern, which can be heard from double bedroom. plumber was sent but didn’t resolve the issue. We had to buy ear plugs to get some sleep. Couldn’t use washing machine as it tripped the electrics. Problem reported but not resolved. It’s a shame we had these issues as the apartment is stunning. Shutters on windows did a brilliant job of dulling the noise of the bars in the street. "

"We never even made it to the apartment. We arrived at night, and there was no light in the entry or on the initial two flights of steep stairs. We had not been informed that the apartment was on the fourth floor with no elevator; with my bad back I couldn't even get my suitcase up the first flight of stairs and we eventually gave up."

"I stayed at number 20, apartment 24. The property is very clean and well furnished, a room with a very good double bed and a kitchen with a living room with a sofa that should be changed. The big problem is that vis a vis there are 2 bars that play very loud music in the evening until 4 in the morning, you can hear it in the bedroom even though it is on the opposite side of the street. I do not recommend this property for those who have difficulty falling asleep or are light sleepers :)"
