"If you are arriving/departing by train (Lucca) this is an excellent location as Hotel Rex is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is also very close to the city's renaissance walls. The hotel has whimsical decorations, a place for children to play, and a good breakfast. A table outside of our room had biscuits on it. I'm pretty sure other rooms had the same treat. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Outside the property was road construction, but it was not noisy. "

"We have just returned from a 9 night stay at B&B Corte Toro in Lucca. Contact from Giacomo after booking was very good. We had a wonderful time there. Giacomo is an excellent host. "Decided to stay here because of the 5 star reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Yes it’s the opposite side of Lucca to the train station and outside the city walls but it was only a 30 minute walk because Lucca is so tiny. Gave me the opportunity to get my bearings. And only a 5 minute walk back to the wall. Was able to check in just after 11am. Room was huge as was the bathroom & both immaculately clean. And there was a kettle! Breakfast was fantastic and laid out with great care. Lovely...

"This was a great find. The hotel was wonderful ( but i didn't like my pillow) and Lucca is just marvelous. I want to give the hotel and location great raves though i would prefer it to be the best kept secret. Wonderful medieval village and concierge Simon could not be more helpful. What a gentleman! Also. the breakfast was absolutely awesome!"

"Room was entirely too small and was the only one between floors. You had to take an elevator and still walk up or down a flight of stairs. The only window looked out over a set of outside steps that were being used so no privacy. The bathroom was really dark and there was at least one light out in the bathroom. Very disappointing. "
