"The best part of this hotel is the location. It’s just across the way from the grand place and adjacent to great shopping. We were able to walk everywhere. The big disadvantage is the noise. Every single morning by 6:30am they were hauling trash down the cobblestone paths right below or window. Woke us up every freaking morning we were there. There’s a cute restaurant you have to walk through to get to the hotel reception desk. Oh and you have to pull your luggage down the street to the hotel at least during the holidays. The street in front of the hotel is not accessible by car. We were surprised we needed to walk with our luggage. The staff were mostly great. We had a few at the desk who didn’t want to help us. The restaurant gets very busy as well. Not sure it was worth the extra price for the hotel and breakfast package. We ate there most days because it was convenient during the holidays. There was no wait if you purchased the breakfast package, but there were so many restaurants and cafes in walking distance to the hotel. I would probably stay there again but bring ear plugs or get a quieter room if they have any. That noise was a bummer. Long days with lots of walking. Would have loved to stay in bed longer. "

"This quirky, small hotel is unique in terms of atmosphere, and decorations. The hotel overwhelms the visitor with vibrant colors, artwork and statues (similar to John Sloane's famous house in London). The owner - Ben, is from Morocco and is super friendly. The staff is helpful. There is a 'secret' garden that is a full delight. There is also the resident cat- Kiki, who wanders around to greet the guests. Finally, the location is superb- just a few steps away from the Grand Place. The only drawback is its size, for travellers with large suitcases maybe a problem"

"We loved this hotel. All the staff we encountered were amazing and so friendly and accommodating, especially Eva, who welcomed us on arrival, is a credit to your hotel and Marc who helped us in other ways was amazing. We found the room (501) to be very comfortable, spacious and quiet (facing inwards). It had a separate WC from the bathroom, that had an over bath shower, and twin wash basins. Our kids had room 206 facing the road and had mentioned to us that the nearby early building work bothered them, but that is hit and miss anywhere. If you want quiet ask for an inward facing room on a high floor. We would love to go back to this hotel. It is a short 10 minute walk from the Centraal train station and close enough to be in the heart of Brussels (5 minute walk to Grand Place), with a good selection of local restaurants/bars a very short walk away. We jumped in a cab from the airport, costing 55 Euro to station Centraal, and back to the airport we grabbed a 45 Euro Uber from 1 minute walk away from the hotel, as the hotel road doesn't permit normal traffic. To conclude, a fantastic hotel with amazing staff. Well done Alma Grand Place hotel. Very happy customer."

"It is centrally located to walk to many places of interest. Very comfortable beds with a memory like foam topper but not to much. Breakfast is the best, well worth the 19 euro and order with stay or right at arrival for that price. My German Eurail pass only included to Brussels Nord. I suggest take taxi between hotel and that station instead of transferring to Brussels Centraal train."
