In addition, the back yard space was wonderful and private. The only negative was that it was difficult to get air to flow, insect-free, through the house. "Overall, the property is very spacious. The home is divided into 3 separate areas with different entries for each. The air conditioners did not work the entire time we were there. They stated they were waiting for a part they had ordered. The windows don’t have screens so you can open them but you get some flies. The bottom section has a mildew smell but it’s expected with homes near the beach. The biggest inconvenience was they had men working on the property the entire time we were there. They...

"The photo was not of the actual rental but a building on the property. Otherwise it was very nice. The bathroom door needs repair and we couldn’t find general instructions."

"It is very much like the photos. There are 3 floors and a circular wood staircase. Kitchen Living Room and bathroom on entry level, 2 bedrooms 1 bath on second level and living area and balcony on top level. You can walk everywhere in town, and we found parking on street with meter. The bed was comfy with quality bedding. The instructions for sight seeing were awesome. I highly recommend. We had a great visit on this stunning island. "

"My children loved this home. Its lava bricks are amazing. My children were able to experience European living and I had all the modern amenities to use. Awesome little hiking trail close by at Praia de Amora. Highly recommend!"

"The Blue House was a wonderful home away from home. From the many windows are beautiful views of the sea and coastline. The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine, local cheese and bread, and basics like eggs, butter etc… It is best to have a rental car as it is about a 20 min drive to the Ponta Delgada and the airport."
