"José’s house is on the edge of everything you want to see in Porto, so we walked everywhere. The house was well organized although you shouldn’t expect a North American look. This is a 300 year old house! There is free street parking out the door, which was very convenient. There is a laundromat and grocery store (with a good cafeteria) a block away). "Lovely small town of Prazeres with multiple excellent restaurants and a lovely well appointed house. Very clean & spacious for the 4 of us with outside space for relaxing in the evening. Air Con was a blessing ! One improvement would be a more modern smart TV to access Netflix etc especially for the youngsters, other than this its perfect."

"I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island. "

"Wow! This was our second time on São Miguel and first time staying in Lagoa. We chose Don Jose because of the space.
