"This home was absolutely incredible, the pictures don't really do it justice. The rooftop deck gives great views of the sunset and the pool was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. There were multiple spaces to hang out during the day and evenings and we took full advantage of the kitchen. Overall we would absolutely recommend this home!"

"I had a lovely stay at Casa da Cisaltina. Fatima, the owner, made me feel right at home and was very helpful with information about things to do in the area and suggestions! The breakfast was delicious and included her homemade jams. There is a wonderful view out the backyard of the northside of the caldera. Added bonus is the parking on site - a car is definitely necessary in the Povocao area and eastern side of the island. "

We were 2 couples on our first visit to Sao Miguel and the proximity to the airport and city gave us the perfect "home base" while traveling the beautiful island of Sao Miguel. In addition, the back yard space was wonderful and private. The only negative was that it was difficult to get air to flow, insect-free, through the house. However we understand that air conditioning will be installed. Perfect!"

On our arrival we were informed the refrigerator needed replacing. It was replaced two days into our stay. Car rental is required."

"It is very much like the photos. There are 3 floors and a circular wood staircase. Kitchen Living Room and bathroom on entry level, 2 bedrooms 1 bath on second level and living area and balcony on top level. You can walk everywhere in town, and we found parking on street with meter. The bed was comfy with quality bedding. The instructions for sight seeing were awesome. I highly recommend. We had a great visit on this stunning island. "

The host welcomed us with a bottle of wine, local cheese and bread, and basics like eggs, butter etc… It is best to have a rental car as it is about a 20 min drive to the Ponta Delgada and the airport."

"The quality and size of the “apartments” (they’re basically houses, it’s great) is phenomenal for the price. To have a private back deck, many air conditioners, a kitchen, a nice bathroom, FOUR sets of sliding doors.. it was great. Friendly cats run the grounds, par for the course in Europe. Parking is a little tight and it’s in a quaint area of the island but those very small “negatives” are so heavily outweighed by the friendliness of staff, 24 hour pool and big clean rooms that it’s barely...
