"We stayed in a room on the second floor. It was spacious, very clean, and provided a large comfortanle double bed and a separate single bed. The bathroom was in pristine condition. The room was very quiet and we had an undisturbed sleep. The buffet breakfast provided a range of food to suit everyone's taste. We had a very tasty full English breakfast comprising eggs, bacon, sausages and tomatoes. There was a pancake making machine but I didn't have the confidence to have a go; maybe next time. The reception staff were very helpful and efficient. "

"I stayed for one night to go see Jon Culshaw at City Varieties Music Hall. I really like this hotel brand anyway and this particular hotel is 100% perfect. Possibly the best one that Ibis has. Excellent staff, a tremendous food offering and just the look and feel of every part of it. The rooms and the facilities in them are superb, the curiously endearing Scandinavian sounding voice in the lift, the quirky wooden key cards and the sausages on the breakfast buffet. All perfect "

"The road noise didn't matter; I had no noise from other guests which is the main thing. Breakfast very good. Bed comfortable. My only issue was that the room was quite cold. A little out of centre is no problem."
