"The hotel is beautiful on the inside and has some good restaurant choices - both healthy and traditional. A good gym with good equipment is available in the hotel. The staff are lovely and helpful. The rooms are in excellent condition and provide a reasonable Japanese atmosphere. It is a bit out of the main areas but we liked that. Highly recommended "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Bamboo Town. It is in a quiet residential street less than 10 minutes from Enmachi Station and you get instructions how to get there in your information pack. It's 3 bus stops (roughly) from Kinkaku-ji (the Golden Temple) and we found it a good base for sightseeing in Kyoto by bus and train. "The company gave us a lift to the accommodation the first night from their central cafe in Kyoto which was really helpful as if you don't know the area it could be hard to find alone in the evening. The accommodation was very clean and had all the basics you need. It is Japanese style accommodation with futon which suited us well but people not used to this need to check the details. It is a quiet residential area and sound travels between the apartments so not suitable for people who want late...

"Our experience here at Coto Toji was amazing, from the beginning a driver was waiting us at Kyoto station and he was the one that did the check in at the property. His name is Kibune, an old short funny Japanese guy who made pleasant our first hour in Kyoto.
