"Very close to various historical sites such as Changdeokgung. Lot's of local restaurants and bars around. A bit difficult to find at first, but once you've familiarised yourself with the surrounding it's not that hard. Close to "Anguk" (orange line 3) and "Jongno 3 (sam) ga" (blue line 1 or purple line 5 orange line 3) metro stations. Lots of mini convenience stores such as CU and 7-11 around. Should anyone need photo prints there's a Kodak Digital Solutions store near Jongno 3 (sam) ga purple...

"We had a lovely stay, however, we've been sent to a different hotel on the first night due to booking the hotel via hotels.com. The receptionist insisted that we are not booked in their system, and therefore, was sent over to a much uglier and uncomfortable hotel nearby. This disrupted our first sightseeing day as we had to pack our luggage again to transfer back to Hotel Icon. They also provided the same breakfast every single morning (toasted bread, jam, coffee, cereals, muffin, orange juice)"
