"With a huge variety of choices on where to stay we're really glad that we chose Hotel Monterey Akasaka for our week in Tokyo. The room was more spacious than expected for Tokyo, very clean, and walking distance to many restaurants and a nearby station. The bed was comfortable (fairly firm but not too much so) and the shower was excellent with strong water force and a heated mirror. "The property was great and the view was amazing. It is continent for walking. It is right in the middle of a very busy area which can be overwhelming but the area is safe. I stayed there a bulk of my trip as a woman traveling alone and although I felt overwhelmed at times because of the city I had no problems with the safety of the area. Would definitely stay again. "

"It's a very convenient location right next to Narita airport. The planes fly directly overhead, but soundproofing in the room was so excellent that we didn't hear a thing. The property was nice with a pretty walking path around the grounds. It is a bit secluded, but there is a Family Mart near reception so that you can purchase amenities and snacks. The breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was very helpful."

"I actually loved this hotel, the room was the biggest of any we booked in Japan and was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that this location is in more of a business area and slightly further away from any entertainment. However, there is a shopping area nearby as well as food options and the Iidabashi train station a block or two away. I will definitely book this hotel chain again maybe just not this specific location. But it was a great stay! "
