"As it's name says it's a GREAT hotel in all the sense of the word. Since arrival everything was perfect, lobby and the Tiffany glass ceiling is absolutely spectacular. Abraham and Jael were extremely courteous, super servicial and very professional. Mariano at the front desk gave us an excellent service. We booked the Zócalo view room and it was super comfortable, and the view is breathtaking. Hotel made the arrangements for our transportation during our 7 day stay and put us in contact with Flavio who took us to dinner every night to different restaurants, waited for us and brought us back to the hotel regarding the hour or the time we took on our dinner. Thanks to all for making our stay in Mexico City a marvelous one. We definitely recommend El Gran Hotel Ciudad de Mexico and we hope to go back. Manuel Borges"

"Historico Central is an absolute gem in the heart of Mexico City. We knew the location would be good, but the hotel stay far exceeded our expectations. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport and it is very easy to walk to all of the great sights in the city. Central is really the key word, close to everything. Check in was simple and friendly. The staff really made us feel welcome. The room was well appointed and very clean. We had a comfortable bed and the shower has good water pressure. Even though the street is close, our room was quiet at night. No noise issues. We did know that breakfast would be included, It is a good breakfast with lots of options served to order. Not a buffet. We did not realize that there was a 24 hour cafe with sandwiches, snacks, sodas, water, coffee and draft beer, all included in the room stay! There are a few alcoholic beverages that the cafe charges for, but this is still a great amenity! Bottled water is stocked in a refrigerator near the elevator on every floor, so we never ran out, and the mini fridge also has water and some other beverages ready to go at check in. We always had the things we needed. Everything about our stay was memorable and we will definitely return to Historic Central again if given the opportunity. This was really a wonderful stay."

"It’s small property with space conditions but the service and location is excellent. While checking in, I was waiting my turn and the on duty manager came right away to assist me, she even assisted me and took us to our room. Hotel is close to historic center and a walk away from zocalo and main museums. First time in CDMX but will return to this nice hotel!"

"Amazing staff and views"

"This is a fantastic property within walking distance to all of the Centro Historico attractions. The room was spacious with a very comfy bed. The hot water took awhile one day to kick in but all was good after that. We dined in the restaurant and had great service from Raul. He is such a great man. So personable and just concerned that you are enjoying your meal and time. Sergio at the front door is also excellent. He is very knowledgeable about the area and is very kind. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Gracias!!"

"Hotel is in a great, safe, location in the center of historic Mexico City. There is constant security at the entrance which made me feel very safe entering and exiting the property. The breakfast was delicious every morning and the staff was very friendly. My only complaint would be the noise from lobby atrium to my room which was an interior room facing the atrium. As Ironic as it seems, I think a room facing the exterior and away from the atrium would be quieter since the street gets very quiet at night."
