We loved the breakfast. The staff was friendly and very nice. The rooms are up to date, no issues there. However, we did not know the hotel was under construction. A lot of noise very early. My daughter has a disability and uses a wheelchair so we had to carry her up the stairs because the elevator does not work! Breakfast is on the 7th floor so that was inconvenient for my daughter AND my senior Mother. I wish we would've known this beforehand, so we could've prepared.
Very nice and respectful staff. The room was very clean. Amenities were great. They offer free breakfast and some snacks free of charge. I really loved this hotel and its close to the cathedral/ zocalo. Diferrent food options close by as well. The only downfall was that the elevator was not working so going up to the 7th floor for breakfast and to our room at the 3rd floor was a stuggle. Othewise, i would have rated it a 5 star.
Hotel Canada
Stayed 3-nights. Not worth the price point.
However, the staff are all friendly and helpful albeit seemingly too busy and overworked.
Best part is rooftop cafe and authentic Mexican breakfast included in the room rate.
The elevator was not working during my visit. Stairs to the restaurant are a beast.
Room was recently remodeled, modern, clean and small but comfortable with nice linens and a comfortable but small bed.
No exhaust fan in bathroom so opening the window to the stinky alley way when showering is a thing.
Windows are new and block and or muffle (enough to wear ear plugs and sleep) most loud noises coming from being located in central one block from the zocalo. HOWEVER, the interior walls between rooms are paper thin and all noises including talking from next door neighbors can be heard from your bed very easily (as if they are in your room). Why spend so much effort on a beautiful remodel of your hotel and not add insulation which is cheap, to the interior walls between rooms? Huge missed opportunity by Central Hotels!
Not a dark room at night. The remote for the AC/Heater is located inside a locked plastic box on the wall with only the power and temperature buttons being accessible by the room guest. This means that the big bright LED temperature screen lights up the whole room at night when all the lights are off. If hotel management would allow access to the button on the remote labeled “DISPLAY”, this would not be an issue.

We stayed the week of thanksgiving and everything was great except for one thing. The elevator was not working. I’ve seen some reviews from earlier date with the same issue. Other than that the hotel was great

Other than its location of being literally adjacent to Zocalo and Plaza de la Constitucion, it has no other over the top things to recommend.
On checkin, found a bed sheet with hair/stain. Housekeeping replaced all. The room with 3 beds had only 1 (ONE) power outlet. The bath was fine except that even with the shower door closed, water would seep out and the foot towel would be soaked.
Hotel was undergoing renovations and the elevator was inop. So it was 6 storey climb to get to the daily breakfast on the 7th floor. We must have been the only non Mexican guests. So the breakfast catered to Mexican taste. I had scrambled eggs all 3 days. Milk was available only on request. Likewise with ketchup. It also offered free coffee and snacks till 10 pm. Nothing great. But the Wait staff was GREAT.
In hind sight, should have stayed in Roma Norte.
The hotel doesn’t provide the real information about the hotel, they don’t have elevator and my room was in 6th floor, a bad experience a that part. I almost fainted going up the steps with the luggage
Everyone was very friendly. Room was smallish but clean and great room service. The free breakfast and food throughout the day was an unexpected bonus. Hot water took a long time to come up. I think if they could increase the speed of that their water bills would come way down! Towels could’ve used some fabric softener but they were plush. Also the elevator was being worked on which meant a seven floor hike up the stairs for breakfast - your first workout of the day. Great location though. Very centrally located in historical district.

Is very close to everything i feel safe but this time in particular was terrible because it was in the middle of remodeling and no one bothered to tell or post it on the website. I Brought my son in law who had surgery on his knee and surprised us with the elevator not working he had to go 2 floors up and down and me 6 floors was a terrible experience I asked for a wheelchair to help him to move around but didn’t get it at all
It was great! But during our stay the elevator was going through maintanence due to renovations. Other than that it was awesome. Great restaurants around the area and the staff was very helpful and kind.
The hotel is in renovation I have a handicap person with me no elevator working my staying was canceled and now want help me from Expedia I was at 11 PM in Mexico trying to find a new hotel
