"This place is clean and charming. The neighborhood is also really great. The staff is friendly and the rooms have character with high ceilings and doors that open up to a balcony overlooking the street below. The only downside to staying at Hostal Regina is that it's on the second and third floors of the building its in and there are no elevators so you have to carry all your luggage up and down at least 2 flights of stairs. "THIS IS MY SECOND STAY AT THE HOSTEL, AND THE STAFF MEMBER DURING THE EVENING SHIFT, ANDRE I BELIEVE IS HIS NAME GIVES A VERY WIERD CUSTOMER SERVICE, NOT RUDE, NOT EXACTLY BAD. "The area around the Hotel can be a bit seedy and very loud during the day. It is not too convenient to many CDMX attractions but is 4 blocks from the Zocalo and 2 blocks from the ruins of temple mayor. There no "upscale" restaurants near the hotel. The facility itself was very clean but bareboned, no phone in the room, no shower mat. I would return iff my regular hotel was unavailable. Staff was competent but not friendly."
