The property has good potential and it appears they are working on improving the overall facility with some remodeling. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. "All staff were welcoming and helpful. It was nice having a fridge, microwave and sink to be able to eat in at times. Laundry facilities were available. I'd go for a dip in the ocean right next door and then hop into the pool. Very relaxing. Ask for a room, second floor, overlooking the pool as this gives you a nice view of the ocean as well. Very good location in Hilo "

"I stayed at Aaron's cottage for two nights and it was a great experience. The cottage was cozy, equipped with all the amenities you could need. It had AC, fans, hot water, a comfortable bed, a kitchenette and full bathroom. The place is easy to find and there is a nice beach within walking distance. The place is ideal for staying in the Hilo area or for day trips to Volcanoes National Park, or drive to the top of Mauna Kea (4WD required). Several great local restaurants as well as supermarkets around the area."
