"Lively property with an amazing view of the Pitons. This was a last minute getaway so room options were limited but I choose what was called a garden view room and was pleasantly surprised to find the front patio of the cottage overlooking the Pitons. Property is just outside of town, but it's on a very steep windy hill so walking to and from town would be tough, but doable for the hearty. Beach in the area is so-so, but Anse Chastanet beach is just outside of town, but its down a very rough, rocky, narrow road leaving you holding your breath you don't meet an oncoming car. The beach itself is so-so, sand is darker, and it's on the sister properties of Anse Chastanet and Jade resorts, but the water is absolutely beautiful and clear. I couldn't get out of it. But Samfi Gardens was a peaceful retreat and would stay again and recommend."

"One of the most beautiful views I've ever seen in my life. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The only suggestion I have for the resort is getting room service delivered a little bit faster but overall it was one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed at and can't wait to be back. "Roger and Alicia’s apartment was perfect! It was spacious, finished to a high standard and well equipped with everything we needed for our stay.Roger and Alicia were absolutely brilliant hosts, they live upstairs so are on hand if you need anything. Roger met us outside when we arrived at night and gave us a tour of the apartment. The next morning, Alicia came down to check if we needed any help putting together an itinerary for our stay/booking restaurant reservations etc. She had some great recommendations - we had a wonderful meal at Island Chef! Above all, they are both really lovely people who make you feel so welcome (and gave us some great life advice).In terms of location, the apartment is in a quiet residential area which is a 15 minute walk from the waterfront and 5 minute’s walk from the supermarket.In the apartment itself, I liked having access to a washing machine (bring your own liquid detergent), and the jacuzzi was much needed after we had hiked up Grand Piton! We loved sitting on the balcony in the evenings admiring the view of the Piton at sunset, and then looking at the stars.The shared pool is much bigger than the pictures show, and is cleaned every day. The bedroom had air conditioning and kitchen area has a fan which helped to keep us cool.This is one of the best holiday apartments we’ve ever stayed in, in terms of location, amenities and hosts. We’d recommend to our family and friends and hopefully we’ll be back one day. :) "

"We stayed at Nutmeg Hill Villa for 7 nights. The apartment is very clean, with fully equipped kitchen, it’s very comfortable and close to all major attractions in Soufriere. The neighbours are friendly. We recommend staying at this villa, the only advice is to drive from airport to Soufriere and then up to the villa, we followed the gps which took us to a back road that was a little difficult for driving. We will go back to the villa. "

"This villa was located in a very good area to enjoy many activities around Soufriere. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and were great with communication. The space was very modern, comfortable and clean. We managed to see most of St. Lucia with some driving in a rental car from this location. A great place to stay on the island. At night there was a balcony to sit on and listen to the sounds of the rainforest. Missing it already!"

"Loved our stay at Diamondview, great location, homey, not fussy or fancy, just right for us! Cisco was the best, knowledgeable, helpful and thoughtful. "

"We arrived late at night and encountered a very poor check-in process. Although the owner eventually came to help us unlock the doors and retrieve the keys, the initial lack of support was disappointing. Communication with the host deteriorated as our stay progressed. No hot water for the last three days, the host did not seem concerned, and towards the end of our stay our emails and phone calls went unanswered. The host never communicated with us during the fiasco with the door lock. The last day, we encountered a broken door handle in apt 1 which prevented exiting. This situation was distressing, especially since we were waiting for transportation to the airport. We relied on the information from the host ‘s mother from across the road or his daughter on the phone. There wasn’t a manual to instruct us on specifics for the 2 apts: on/off switches for the electric, the location of the washer/dryer (?), what to do with trash, the location of the WiFi code, the master switches that powered the mini splits, etc. The listing indicates a “smart” TV but no cable provided and depended on guest streaming accounts if you had one. The location was misrepresented; it wasn't close to the mud baths or the city, necessitating taxis (50 US). Car “provided” in listing, no car. Blanket requested for cool nights, not provided for 2 days. Noise from roosters and traffic was disruptive. "
