"A lovely hostel with welcoming staff. Clean and comfortable. Nice to have tea and milk available. The female dorm I was in had a lovely old fashioned fireplace and historic feel."

"Decent enough but unfortunately the room was cold because the heating wasn't on! The apps on the tv wouldn't work which is a shame. Looks like they don't do breakfast anymore which wasn't great, no parking available on site so had to use a council run carpark around the corner! Wasn't bad,wasn't great! No staff around @ checkout either??"

"Another fantastic stay at Hilton Newcastle Gateshead. Service the usual exceptional standard, food and wine incredible. The only place we would stay when in toon!!"

"There was evidence of smoking - cigarette ends on the flat roof outside the only functioning window. The chair was broken. The continental breakfast was not served on time and was meagre and very poor. The staff were friendly however and with a bit of thought and better planning it could easily improve."

"Good hotel - very comfy bed! Minimal towels but could probably have asked for more but no great problem. Fantastic front desk service - very pleasant guys, extremely helpful. Fridge in room would have been helpful, and no glasses meant a long walk back to front desk .."
