"Building is a bit dated but it’s kept clean and tidy with well equipped cooking facilities. Bathroom is spacious (spa bath unit). TV, WiFi all worked well. we walked to supermarket where the restaurant area in less than 15 minutes through a park. We had a lovely stay."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The unit was big & well set up. Quality furnishings & very clean. Very comfortable. This has to be without a doubt the best motel I have ever stayed in whilst travelling around NZ. Great value for money. So close to a great park & easy walk to the CBD & supermarkets. "

"Updated older property. We rented one of their larger rooms and were surprised that our room did not have AC however other rooms in the hotel did have AC. Shower was nice and had a large jet tub however we did not have time to use it. The breakfasts that we had at the hotel were fine with plenty to eat at buffet style breakfast."

"A nice hotel, quiet rooms with plenty of space, bit disappointed we had to ask at the end of the day why our room hadn’t been serviced when we came back from a days walking, just to have more milk, coffee etc. breakfast and bar staff excellent would definitely recommend a stay as the position of the hotel is fabulous "

"The staff here really saved our trip! We had rented a car in Christchurch for our South Island portion of our trip and unfortunately had a screw wedge into our tire. Over the night we stayed, the tire became flat. We woke up to find this out the next morning, a Sunday, when we were planning to head out of town to our next destination.
