"If your on a budget this property is for you as long as you can put up with the loud music coming from the neighbour . The property is well kept and clean , management is friendly and responsive . You are right on the beautiful beach so bring lots of sunscreen ! 😎"

"The staff was great! Easy to get around.. the beach could be cleaner and I know it’s not the Hotels fault but the Dog that lives right behind barks all night! So if you are easily disturbed you won’t get much sleep! Everyone in the hotel complained about the dog.. "

"Best hotel we have stayed at anywhere in Belize (and one of my all-time favorites anywhere)! Nirvana pretty much sums it up. Beautiful room, comfy bed and an incredible porch with chairs and hammocks overlooking the Caribbean. Staff is also wonderful, accommodating and friendly. Bonus was the kayaks and paddleboards that were available steps from the sea. Also, the best beach we have seen in Belize (and we have travelled all over). Cannot think of a single thing I would change about this...

"We really enjoyed our stay at Umaya. We rented a villa and enjoyed it. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The grounds were clean, and the staff was fantastic. The front desk was friendly, and everyone else was super helpful when needed. We particularly enjoyed meeting Harry, on security, who kept watch over the place in the evening. Everyone here - customer service, grounds keeping, security, etc., was just really great to deal with. It was our first trip to belize and we'll definitely...

"we stayed in the Becky and Steve’s bungalow section and our friends stayed in one of the beachfront huts. Both the bungalows and the huts were furnished and styled in the same manner. The huts are just a lot closer to the restaurant and the ocean. Everything was clean the staff was nice and we had a great time. "
