"The property itself has very good. Good location for walking to very good restaurants, the marine terminal, downtown and other attractions. Unfortunately they are building two large hotels or condos across the street, with construction almost around the clock - and sure to block the view. Our room was in the very front of the hotel, so we also heard lots of coming and going around the property, including property workers. Would likely stay again, but after the construction work is done. "

"We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. "Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars.
