"We enjoyed staying along the walkway in town. The apartment was cozy. Beds and bedding were very nice and comfortable. Had lots of tiny bugs On the kitchen counter. The bathroom walls need to be cleaned. Overall we enjoyed our time there and would stay again. "

"The location is amazing. Your own private beach, watching the sunrise. Nice quiet location. Kitchen is well-stocked and the owners had a jug of filtered water, which is much appreciated.Check-in infomration came very late. I needed to download What's app (which I did not already have), so communication was a little chaotic.Also, check out was posted as 11am, the cleaning lady showed up shortly after 9 am, which was not ideal for us.But I would stay here again."

"Really enjoyed my stay at Areca House. I was there solo for a vacation; however, it would be fine too for a couple. Great location to the beach (just across the street), as well as close to restaurants (within walking distance). It was great to enjoy Garifuna places of interest (wonderful food, etc.). Doc responded quickly to my initial inquiries, and Janette provided a helpful introduction to the place after I arrived. Would recommend Areca House!"

"We were looking for the wrong address at first. My fault. We looked for #2 and it was actually #10. Once we found the bakery we were home free! The place was mostly clean except for a dirty hand towel and wash cloth. It was just plain Jane. The mattress on the bed even said “basic”. But it worked fine for a quick overnight."
