"Rustic and historic. That’s what you’re booking. This place is in original condition and prides itself on it. There was a place in time where a facility such as this existed but has long disappeared because of technology and amenities. You are booking an experience not an amenity. This place is a destination within itself. Kudos for the owner’s belief that people will party for the experience. Rooms are clean, bed is clean but sparse. Again you’re there for the history. Don’t change a thing. Don’t you draw. "

"The only drawback is that the casino is a little smoky. Otherwise, Longstreet is an ideal stay! It is a lovely & quirky property, with a pond, a chapel, a pool, a convenience store, and a nice cafe. It is handicap-friendly. One of our favorite things is the animals: feeding the ducks, petting the casino cat, and admiring Ollie the water buffalo. And on this visit we even got to watch a pair of owls in the evening! We appreciate that the property is only 30 minutes from Death Valley. Longstreet is dog-friendly, and in the cooler season you can drive to the adjacent Ash Meadows where dogs are allowed on most trails and even on the boardwalk!"
