"Mixed feelings about this stay. The inside of my room was clean and modern, obviously recently redone. The outside is a state; security lights hanging off the wall and tatty and actually it doesn’t feel all that safe walking around in the dark. I don’t know why they put solo female travellers as far away from reception as possible. The bed wasn’t as comfortable as I had hoped and noise travels between rooms. The seal around the main door (which goes straight outside) was rubbish and there was a...

"We dined in the restaurant and food quality, staff attitude and service were excellent. Monkfish was outstanding, I’ve certainly dined in numerous hotels & restaurants, paid more and been disappointed. Recommend a stay and dining experience here. Lovely grounds to walk in and a historic building to enjoy. Actually enjoyed the fact there was limited mobile signal once in the hotel, due to the thick stone walls, made it more relaxing "
