"Stayed at The Pied Bull for 2 nights March 2025 & have stayed there a few years ago. Lovely hotel /pub with a warm comfortable atmosphere about it. Comfy bed, spotlessly clean, good facilitates. Good hearty full English breakfast. The staff are great & very welcoming. Enjoyed their thursday night quiz too. Location is perfect as right in the heart of historic Chester. Its near lots of shops, bars, restaurants. Easy access to the walls around Chester too. I would highly recommend staying there. "

"The hotel was very clean friendly staff the rooms were spacious, the bed very comfy, the bathroom very clean, the only fault was the non slip rubber mat in shower it wasn’t the best, they excelled us with giving us a room overlooking the racecourse "

Room could do with an update, towel rail connection held together with tape, dusty in some areas, generally clean, no remote for tv but can be controlled by buttons on the side of the tv, this gives you restrictive control. "
