"The hotel is very well managed, spotless clean & updated with a cute contemporary style, Beds comfy!! Warm welcome with fruit and smoothies, and breakfasts were not buffet, decent options, and servings large. Great downtown location. The window views of an abandoned building with garbage galore behind it was disappointing - but not uncommon in Vietnam. Overall, I would bring my family to this hotel any day. Bonus: the company also runs tours, thus making the planning seamless."

"First of all the staff and breakfast were amazing. The hiking trip organised by the hotel was awesome. The location is really good. The downsides there were lots of bugs in my room. I killed them all and i thought that was the end of it then on the last day upon checking out there was a huge cockroach on the floor, i presume their mother. The water pressure for the hot water didnt seem to exist at times and you had to run it for a while to make it work. "

"I checked out September 25th so this is a review of the hotel as Cat Ba recovers from the typhoon. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. The sky at and pool were damaged in the typhoon and were being repaired. Overall a good place to stay. "

"Cat Ba is a resort town with lots of mid-range restaurants and markets selling the same thins. We had hoped to bicycle more but it is very hilly and the bicycles available were not up to the task. With non-beach water, there isn’t that much to do. Roza Palace, is a nice hotel with friendly staff. "

"We came to Cat Ba island with the main purpose of climbing, and picked this hotel for the perfect location right next to the best crag on the island (Butterfly Valley). The lovely owners, clean/modern room, and excellent restaurant made this the best accommodation in our entire Vietnam trip. "We had an excellent stay, beautiful hotel, our one bedroom suite was huge, gorgeous furniture and very comfortable and clean, it was a great base for us to visit the Halong Bay área. There isn’t much around the hotel as the area is still being developed, however this was fine with us, as between visiting the bay, we relaxed and enjoyed the lovely facilities and restaurant, the food was great. Staff were superb and nothing was too much trouble "

Japanese hotel in Vietnam

"Amazing hotel, truly fantastic facilities at a very good prices. Front desk informative and helpful. It’s a very nice stay in a Japanese hotel in Vietnam. Location is little bit outside of the town, but easy ride from airport and quick taxi ride to town. It’s nice to discover local places, for sure not touristy like Hanoi. "
