"Now this resort is a timeshare but you can also booked it through a travel site if you are not a timeshare holder. The room was very clean, gave us towels for the hot springs; even though the front desk told us there was no towels in the room and can get it from the front desk, or bring your own; mostly recommend bringing your own! "It was a bit spartan, but after all, it was Motel 6. Great value and very clean. There were a few "low-life" characters staying there, but they didn't bother anyone and you had to check in at night thru a security night window....none of which gave you a feeling of security. The bed was good and the shower was excellent. No breakfast, but had coffee in the lobby. Several people had dogs, so pets must be okay."

My view of the Sierra Nevada Mt range from the cafe at David Walleys Hot Springs Resort. Whether it's fine dining in the main restaurant or breakfast at the cafe, the food has been superb. And of course the views are beautiful. You can stay at the resort or just stop in for a dip in the hot springs. And then take the mile or so stroll to the historic town of Genoa NV. Roughly 45 minutes over the hill from South Lake Tahoe or an hour from Reno.
