"The staff was wonderful. Love the family cabin. Someone trying to get in at night… I’m assuming was a bear… was a little alarming . Other than that I had a relaxing , quiet, peaceful stay at Emerald Bay Lodge!!! Will definitely stay again. Thank you for making my vacation great!"

"This was our second stay with Black Bear lodge. We really enjoy it. It is so quiet and relaxing. We usually end up taking an afternoon nap with the fireplace on or making a cup of tea and reading on the patio or by the fireplace under the stairs. Staff is helpful and friendly and was able to get us a 10% discount to Riva Grill! Recommend this place!"

"We stayed here and went skiing at Sierra at Tahoe. Great location, Convenient to restaurants and Sierra. Extremely convenient parking right in front of the door. Nice interior. Kids loved the bunkbeds. Nicely decorated and renovated. Only complaints related to noise: the walls are thin and you can easily hear the guests in the next room. Also, the heater is noisy and makes banging noises which woke me up. The kids slept fine and it is their favorite place to stay in Southlake Tahoe."

"What an absolutely beautiful home! The owner, David, was very responsive and helpful in providing suggestions on restaurants and activities. It was an unusually hot week in Lake Tahoe and we didn’t realize the home didn’t have air conditioning, but with the windows open at night and a couple fans, it all worked out! The outdoor deck was perfect for bbq and family games. The nearby beaches, shopping and restaurants were great. We enjoyed our stay!"

"Our December travel day was clear but the following day a snowstorm blew in. Through the huge wall of windows we watched snow swirl among the tall pines as the gas fireplace warmed the spacious main room with its vaulted ceiling of knotty pine. This property is very unique and has a lot of history in the house itself and also in the carefully curated collection of art and other fun antique artifacts that the owners have decorated it with. All the amenities you need for a weekend getaway. We got a place With a large bathtub which was a plus! The pools looked like so much fun because the are hot springs, we didn’t get to use which bums me out but they looked busy everytime we passed by. Definetly a great experienced. "
