"A fabulous stay in the Marlborough room at the Churchill. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel was situated close to the city centre. The room itself was phenomenal, I slept like a baby, the perfect getaway. I will be recommending it to all family and friends. The only downside is that the room didn’t have a fridge to keep drinks cool, but you can’t have everything!"

"The front entrance is "unfortunate"... It is situated opposite what looks like derelict building and you have to go down some steps to gain entrance. "

"Lovely hotel with quirky decor. A real gem and within easy walking distance of the station and city centre. Great that the staff will pick up your luggage from the station on arrival and it was in our room when we arrived. Afternoon tea was wonderful and we loved the pantry and record player in our room. A great place to stay. "

"Wonderful hotel! Great location in a quiet area close to the city. Lovely decor and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if visiting York. Very small difficulty in filling up the kettle due to the size."

"Delightful and quiet location and yet easy to get to all the main attractions of York city centre without the need for a car or taxi. The room and the bed were very comfortable and breakfast was really excellent. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the property is well appointed just like on the photos. "
