"We had a fantastic 1 week stay in October 2024. The property was impeccably clean inside out, the beds were very comfortable and all of the rooms had functioning air-conditioning. We loved being close to nature! From our balcony and around the pool we enjoyed hearing and seeing parakeets, howler monkies and other wildlife. I highly recommend this vacation property whether it is for a romantic get away or a family vacation! A piece of paradise and we are grateful to our wonderful host for allowing us to stay in their ville 10/10 !!"

"I really loved the staff and I did enjoy the resort but there are a few things that need attention. I like that you can go to the other Rio resort as well. I will say the buffet was great for breakfast and lunch but at dinner time it was not so great. The seating was a little unorganized at the buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Some people would just be told to sit anywhere and there would be someone sitting there already so it caused some confusion and frustration with some guests. The A La Carte restaurants were not explained properly at the front desk. We were told to go at 530pm to make the line and then we would receive a beeper to come back when a table was ready but that was not the case at all. We needed to go back once they opened and see if they had any tables for the night. The pool bar staff (Calero, Christopher and Richard) were amazing and the drinks were always on point. Pool entertainment was good. Naye always made her way around talking to everyone and I loved that she was so personable. Night shows were pretty good. The room was cleaned everyday but our TV did not work. I called a few times and went to the front desk several times and no one ever came to fix it. The beach was a black sand beach and wasn’t too pretty. The amount of solicitors on the beach was insane! We walked down there once in our 6 day stay and that was enough. I would definitely go back and give it another try. "

"So glad we could go back to this resort for a second stay. Loved the villa. It is so spacious and has everything we needed. You can cookn in after a a short shopping trip in town or go to the on site bistro which is so delicious. We tried somerhing different each night and loved everything we had. It is such a beautiful setting. The swimming pools are so refreshing after a long walk on the beach looking at tide pools and enjoying the sunset while you eat. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. The hosts are so easy to work with and do their best to make everything just perfect for your stay. I can't wait till we get to go back!"

"This is the second time we have stayed at this villa. The property and view are so beautiful! The view of the ocean from the beautiful deck can't be beat and the sound of the rolling waves 24/7 never gets old! The villa is laid out perfectly with the bedrooms on the second floor and living space on ground level. The staff are so helpful, they helped us plan all of our adventures and car rental. Highly recommend this place whether it's with family like our first visit or friends like our second visit, everyone had a great time."

"Villa 4 at Bahia Pez Vela was such a gem! The house and amenities were perfect and just as described. The private pool is bigger than I imagined and so perfect after having been at the beach all day. The jets were a game changer! The kitchen is huge with everything you could need and the washer/dryer came in handy as well. Once booked, LaRaye sent very detailed notes regarding the property and extremely useful tips and recommendations. Caesar at the property was very accommodating and helpful with booking transfers and activities. Second time coming to Costa Rica and I will definitely be back to this villa! LOVED it!"
