"Unparalleled hospitality at this small onsen ryokan. The staff was beyond helpful in preparing for our trip, with thorough explanation regarding arrival and excellent communication. They were super flexible about holding bags before check in and after check out while we explored. The inn is a little tucked away from main restaurants and shops but taxi was easy and cheap and we could walk to the really delightful gora garden and craft house. "This hotel was the highlight of the 4 hotels that we stayed in during our two week visit. We had a very large room (double twin) that allowed us to open up our suitcases. Room was clean, smelled fresh, had a beautiful view of the stream and maple trees changing colors. They provided yukatas and slippers to wear around the property, which most other people wore to breakfast and dinner. The property was recently renovated a few years ago and is very nice.
