"This is the second time my family has stayed at Highland Resorts and it has been a pleasure to stay here. It's located right near Fuji-Q park, shuttle bus to areas within Fujiyoshida, walking distance to Don Quixote/ Komeda Coffee/ Book-off among a bunch of other places. "This ryokan is very conveniently located beside a bus stop, which makes transportation easy around the hakone area. They also have a shuttle bus to gora station. We had the room with private onsen, it was so amazing we were speechless! Our half board included kaiseki dinner with crab and japanese style breakfast, which are also 10/10. The whole experience was delicate, the service was attention to detail oriented. The only thing I wish they could improve would be the noise while dining, the sound of the staff walking and handling the plates, as well as one particular staff talking very loudly. "

"I stayed here for two nights after completing the Tokyo Marathon, I could not have chosen a better place to rest, recover and indulge myself. Logistics of getting Care from Tokyo via the romance car ti Hakone, then the opposite platform for the local train ..then 50 paces from the local train station to the hotel shuttle bus, which runs every 20 minutes Could not have been more convenient. The breakfast is out of this world with Weston and Japanese options and dinner was sublime."

"Booked this room for the private onsen and it was quite a lovely experience. We brought our luggage to them early in the morning and asked them to hold it until our check in so we could explore and after we checked in and made it to our room they sent someone to bring the luggage up. There was a breakfast buffet included with our room and it had a really nice variety of foods from western to Japanese. Staff spoke great English "

"The view from the hotel is absolutely stunning! The building and property were very clean, staff were friendly and the food was great. The only downside..the accessibility to local restaurants and public transport is by shuttle and you have to get a taxi for your return trip. "

"This place is by the last stop in the ropeway. It has impeccable decor and amenities. Recommend getting the in room tub on your balcony. They also have foot bath outside and onsen. The food in the dining area was very good and you get great traditional Japanese attire while you are there. Note: this is far from Odawara. If you come in they have a shuttle 3 times a day if you book in advance. That’s recommended over the city bus."
