"Off the typical tourist path yet hop on the metro and you are in the heart of Ginza in 20 minutes. In an area known for its schools, there is a college town vibe. Bookstores abound. The property is located on a quiet side street. Nicely furnished. Room is smallish but typical of what you get in Tokyo. A bit hidden behind the rowdy Tokyo Dome is Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, an overlooked treasure in Tokyo. "

"We stayed at Hotel Metropolitan Tokyo Ikebukuro in Dec. 2022 and were so impressed with the hotel that we chose to stay again in Nov. 2024. The room is comfortable and well laid out. The breakfast buffet is a great way to start each day. The staff, from the lobby to housekeeping, are excellent and friendly. The hotel is immediately across from Ikebukuro station providing easy access to trains to get you anywhere around Tokyo's 23 wards. This is a great place to stay and I will stay here again...

"Room was clean and the view was excellent, liked it so much I added an extra night which the staff was very accommodating with. Staff spoke good English and were happy to answer any questions I had. Location is perfect does get a bit loud but hey you’re in a big city you should know that. Overall would recommend to a friend."

"Great location and just an escalator/elevator ride down to Hachiko Statue and the Shibuya station. Very close and walkable to all of the food, shops and subway, literally a 1 minute walk from everything. Highly recommend for those who have never stayed in Tokyo before, it’s a good place to start your stay."
