New towels and bottles of water would be given daily in a bag outside your door. The Okubo train (4 minute walk) and the Shin Okubo train station (10 minute walk) are conveniently close by. I found the restaurants on the main strip were mediocre, so you would have to travel by train to get some better, authentic Japanese meals. Mainly Korean and Northern...

"I like that it is not an expensive hotel considering how spacious the room that we had plus it is very close to all the activities and actions around Shinjuku, Tokyo. I just didn’t like the stangers/bystanders in front of the hotel looking friendly but with hidden interest. They are scary, but harmless though. Just smile back at them."

"I never thought I would find a property renovation negative. However, the nice bathroom upgrades actually took away room space. My room had no drawer space for clothes and minimal hanging space. I normally stay here for a week or longer so not being able to put away clothes or store suitcases really was not optimal. I still really like the location, cleanliness and staff but I will now consider other properties on my next trip"

"When I visit Tokyo it’s usually for work. This hotel is close to the office and a lot of local amenities. There is a walking/jogging path that goes along the lake which is really pretty and sunrise and sunset. The hotel staff are also so very nice, and polite. "
