I loved staying here at the Knot! I will come back here for my next visit to Tokyo! The staff was very friendly, the room was clean and spacious for Tokyo. The bakery downstairs by the lobby and the bar by the lobby were great. I love it here!

All of the staff are really nice, there was little to no language barrier. The restaurant on the first and second floor are the absolute best. Every meal was amazing and we will definitely be staying here again in the future. A 10 minute walk from the Tochomae station, and just down the road from the Metropolitan building and shopping districts.

Rude front of house in the breakfast area. - no breakfast before 7am. - beds not turned down daily (even without changing sheets). - door to bathroom didn't close properly. - pillow case was dirty/had stains. - a used coffee cup was not cleaned. - no view due to scaffolding and tape on windows. Pros: - generally nice looking. - Tasty breakfast. - beds were comfortable. - location is decent.

Contactless check-in and check-out. You use a 6-digit pin to enter your room. This means elevators are not secured and anyone can roam the entire hotel. I don't think I saw a single Japanese staff member. This would explain why the cleanliness level did not match those of other hotels I've stayed at in Japan.

It’s a pretty hotel and across the street from what is like a Grand Central park, but it’s very busy with a lot of westerners and seem like a hip place for locals to hang out too. We were not really into any of that but we picked this place because it was close to our local family. Local family liked it because they could feel like they were in a hip scene. At least we could hang out close to where we were retiring. The downstairs restaurant is not very good and seem like it’s trying to be a San Francisco restaurant but with a lot more salt and less organized kitchen. Better to eat at Matsuya counter service down the street. Great coffee in the room. Staff very nice.

Stayed at The Knot for 3 nights. It was comfortable and pleasant. The room was a bit small for two twin beds. The hotel provided two restaurants for evening dining. The downstairs served Spanish Euro style cuisine and the upstairs Italian. Since most of the guests staying at this hotel are non-Asians they did not have Japanese cuisine. IMO their breakfast was the best with variety of servings that cater to the hotel clientele. Since the property is located in the outskirts of Shinjuku in the business district it has limited access to other eateries especially for dinner. The walking distance to any Japanese restaurants was at least 15 to 20 minutes and very limited as most restaurants in that business area closed around 8pm. All in all I would stay here again now that I got to know the area and how to navigate and get around more easily. PS: The three days during my stay it rained off and on thus getting around the area tedious and cumbersome.
