"Such a great property. We enjoyed the hot springs and the ramen at night. We loved the ice cream nightly too. The breakfast was very expansive and great food. The bed was too firm for us but the room was so quiet. Highly recommend. "

"Great big 43sqm family rooms close to Aquarium and railway museum ( which is one of best in the world ) Only one stop from Kyoto station and only 4 min undercover walk covered to station, however that JR service only comes every 15 min We did airbnb in other cities, so sure if that’s how it is all over Japan but I found it odd that hotel had zero leaflets on things to do in Kyoto The room was very comfortable The onsen was great after long day walking Breakfast buffet was very good epically...

"Lovely calm atmosphere at this hotel. Open courtyard where there is free tea/coffee and a decent welcome drink each day. Please note the hotel does not condone group bookings of more than four people and our group of six was not permitted to sit together (despite being quiet and respectful people). The hotel has a free laundry service which was excellent for mid trip stays. The location is excellent with 2 mins walk to Kyotos main train station and a taxi rank and 7eleven supermarket literally...

"We mainly had a good experience. The staff was not rude, per se, but compared to how friendly and caring they were at the Hotel Niwa in Tokyo, they just didn't meet the same level of service. This was ayounger crowd, so maybe that is why. But the hotel was clean, and it had all the necessary amenities. The location was not grat, a bit away from the city center, but not bad. Next to a train station, taxi and bus access, and very wakable. We had a good time, overall. I would for sure stay there...

"Nice central location that’s just walking distance from the main areas. Easy to find, lots of transport options and friendly staff. Nice big rooms and clean. However room cleaning was a miss for us as after we put the clean sign up. While room was cleaned and beds made, for some reason the empty water bottles we put aside were not taken away. Eventually day 4 of our stay it was taken away. Other than that great hotel and will come back! "

"I first stayed on a superior room, went to a other Town and came back to a deluxe room (more expensive) it was supposed to be bigger and better, it wasn't. It was smaller. I am not sure if they didnt have a room available or what was the reason for this. But it was dissapointing. The hotel is clean, the rooms are nice. Bathroom is great. "

"We absolutely loved staying at the Richmond Hotel in Kyoto. The staff was so helpful and their English was very good. I loved their amenities bar and the travel journal and crafting stations. We had also sent our luggage from our previous hotel in Tokyo and they had already placed them in our rooms which was so nice. Thank you so much for such a pleasant stay!
