"We had two very nice comfortable cabins, beds were fine, it was lovely being able to sit on the porches and listen to the birds. The thermal baths were fabulous, graduated from hot to luke warm, were well kept up and clean. However we had two problems. The water in our cabins kept going off for many many hours For all three days of our stay. Very awkward not being able to flush toilets! We actually would fill up bottles of water so we could brush our teeth if the water was off. The other problem...

"The rooms and beds were good, and the staff were extremely kind and took time every day to show our kids the sloths that hang out in the trees. Breakfast was great and coffee as well! The one pool was under construction but the other was open and kids had fun despite it being small. Would recommend! "

"It is an older era quaint property and if you can accept that you will enjoy! Our family played at the pool table one night and had so much fun! It has beautiful private grounds, helpful staff and had a gorgeous view of the volcano from our room. Definitely need a 4x4 car to traverse the steep windy driveway in (there are signs that say “halfway there, trust” lol) but worth it as so private but so close to Fortuna!"

"Staff are very friendly, they were above and beyond...I had a zoom meeting and was stress out were to take this call and manager and staff accommodated me in one of their offices so I could take the call. Rooms are spacious and you will see a beautiful garden around every single room. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. "

"This was in between a hostel and a high end resort which was exactly what I wanted. Gated and staffed 24/7 with great connection to local food and tours. Room overlooked Arenal and got great pics from my balcony. "
