"Lovely place, friendly staff and excellent location Unfortunately the wall between rooms was so thin I could hear every moment of my neighbour all night. Also the pillows are terrible- made for a very uncomfortable nights sleep. I appreciate you can’t do anything about the soundproofing in such a lovely old building but the pillows are a very cheep easy fix Would stay again but not whilst working! "

"Easy check in, room was a good size. Wasn't noisy throughout the night although we could hear everything in the hallway in the morning. Breakfast options were good and the staff were happy and helpful. Would stay here again gladly if in the area."

"great property, easy location for getting out and about. 20 mins from Chester and shopping outlets, easy access to liverpool and Chester Zoo. They had great staff and great food (you've got to try the fish and chips). Parking was a challenge as the hotel is set between the canal locks, but the view was pretty and we fed the swans daily. We even saw the canal barges being worked."

"Room stunk of smoke. One mattress felt like cardboard. Tv wouldn’t turn on. Bath rusty. Mirror cracked. Light wouldn’t work. Hot tap wouldn’t turn off. Shelf damaged. Stain on duvet, but other than that it was ok"

"It’s been a while since I last stayed here, the refurbishment is lovely, the bedrooms are basic but bright, light and comfortable , excellent for a quick stay over on the motorway services!"

"Thankfully Hotels.com had advised me that The Crewe Arms Hotel had closed down and we had been reallocated. The receptionist at the Bellair was most helpfull."
