Staff were friendly. My key suggestion would try and improve the ligihting ... and please change to mixer taps. Seperate taps are so inconviniant ! Lovely builidng with character.

Beautiful building, outstanding staff. If I had to find any fault it would be why cook so many eggs and leave out in buffet to become dry and rubbery, What a waste, otherwise breakfast was lovely

The bed was so comfortable we had the best nights sleep for a long time. The hotel and grounds were excellent. Very dog friendly. Will definitely be using them again.

Excellent for dog and close to Chester. Good stop in easy reach of M6 north or south. Dogs allowed in the bar but not in the restaurant. Bar not laid up for breakfast on Sunday but was on Monday morning.

Unfortunately we chose to stay when there was a wedding and other venues on so the bar was packed and noisy and the restaurant was closed. It was luckily we were meeting family and had a meal booked at another location.

We had an excellent but sadly all to brief stay at this hotel. The service was excellent from all staff right down to the wonderfully polite and considerate cleaners. The food both in the evening and at breakfast was exquisite.

Nice pool and spa area. Found our room a bit like a dormitory and not quite what I expected. Lots of walking to get around the hotel as it’s so big. Found the staff not particularly friendly or helpful. Doubt I will be back.

Good hotel but not clean
Hotel grounds are lovely and well kept . We got the deluxe double as it was out anniversary . Room was spacious however the bedding was not clean . There was black curly hair all over the suver cover . House keeping came and changed it . Fidnt make a difference the new one they had put on was torn . The bin bag in the bathroom wasnt changed from the previous person there was someones green acrylic nails in it and condom wrapper which i thought qas diagusting . The breakfast waa great . There was a really skinny cat on the premises which we went to buy food for he was starving we did approach the reception and voiced our concerns they told us they know aboyt the cat and that they do feed it regularly he was very old we took him to the vet and had him checked over he is a very old cat but he is malnourished we asked them if they can please carry on feeding him but they seemed really unbothered . Other than what i mentioned it was a nice hotel juat very disappointing when you pay for a nicer room that its everything but clean

Great hotel, friendly staff and perfect location. The hotel was beautiful upon arrival and although check in was very busy the staff were attentive and polite. We had booked a dog friendly room and they had put in a dog bed, food and water bowls and some treats for my dog which was a lovely touch. Room service was great and the food and cocktails were amazing and reasonably priced. All in all I can’t fault our stay at all and would highly recommend this hotel, especially as a dog friendly trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Check in was quick and efficient. Our room was comfortable and we had a lovely view (as requested) an unexpected birthday gift in the room too (thankyou!). The food was fabulous though service was really slow on the first evening, breakfast was lovely. Drinks were nice though a little pricey (we did bring champagne to have in the room). The pool and jacuzzi were soo relaxing as were the gardens …we were lucky to have a little sunshine too! Staff were all lovely too we really enjoyed our stay! 😊
