"The hotel was situated so that we only had a short stroll before reaching the beautiful town centre. So for location it was excellent, however, for myself personally, the hotel was far too noisy. We had to ask to move rooms as our first room was located on the front, which was next to an extremely busy, noisy road. We were then moved to the back, which was slightly better but still was lots of noise, trains going by, workmen making loud noise, a dull humming noise. I didn’t really get much sleep...

"I had a great three nights here. Went to the football and a Conference. Staff v friendly and helpful. Perfect location. Rooms smallish but fine for one. For two people it might be a bit tight. No desk."

"First time in this hotel- location is very central which is great but the downside is the noise at night from the numerous bars in the area. Double glazing is on the way which will help. The bar area is lovely and the cocktails delicious. Food was also very nice. All staff members that we met were friendly and efficient. Our room has been refurbished but the layout was a bit odd with tiny wardrobe space and no full length mirror. An iron and ironing board were available. Nice biscuits with the...
