"Got there very late xmas day night nafter a hideouse journey from plymouth. Even though it was so late there wa a very friendly man to check me in even though hotel was deserted. was very quickn and gave me lovely room. I only made the long trip to lay flowers on my sisters nearby grave at a nearby cenetary that hadn't been visited for 40 years."

"I stayed here a few nights ago, no issues at all, my room was clean and tidy, breakfast was great. Every interaction with staff members was pleasant. My only tiny issue is and it may be my fault just as much - but the signage to the property isn’t fantastic and even though I know the area very well with living there for 8 years and I missed the turn off in thick fog granted, but it can be misleading. Apart from that issue I cannot fault the place "

"I arrived after a rather heart-stopping journey through Storm Darragh. And as I was checking in the power went off. There were a few refugees from the storm and staff who couldn't get home after their shift. The kitchen was in darkness and powerless so no food available but the bar did stay open! The staff were cheerful and helpful finding a duvet to wrap up a chilly lady. True community spirit at it's best!"

"Lovely quaint inn with loads of character. Staff were friendly and polite. fast check-in. Good choice of evening menu. Quality of food was really good. On a negative note, stayed in room 16 which has a very noisy toilet mulcher which makes a very loud grinding noise when flushing the toilet or even just running a tap. "
